The Wuhan coronavirus outbreak has exposed the real face of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This should serve as a “wake-up call” for the world reeling under the pandemic. A U.S.-based independent news media, The Epoch Times, has suggested a more accurate name to coronavirus: the “CCP virus”. The name highlights the fact that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) should be held accountable for its lies and for pushing world into this global health tragedy.
The CCP officials were aware of severe virus outbreak in Wuhan in early December 2019, but they sat on the information for six weeks and silenced doctors who tried to draw attention to the situation. As of now about 23 lakh people have been infected and more than 1 lakh killed. Most of the countries affected by the coronavirus are now dependent on “Made in China” health supplies – but sadly, most of these medical supplies are contaminated and below quality that can increase the health risk of whoever uses them.
China is trying to act as saviour of the world by offering masks, medicines and personal protective equipments (PPE) supplies in return for their silence. This should serve as a “wake-up call” for the world and the CCP should be held accountable. Has not China’s negligence and under-reporting endangered the world?
Why trade with Chinese Communist regime is immoral
The 70-year rule of CCP has pushed China from one man-made tragedy to another, such as the Great Famine, the Cultural Revolution, the Tiananmen Square massacre, persecution of Falun Gong, suppression of Tibet, Xinjiang and Hong Kong, etc. There are hundreds of labour camps in China where millions of spiritual and political supporters are imprisoned. These prisoners are exploited and used to make toys, clothes, idols of Indian and Western Gods and other products. This is the reason why these products are so cheap and of poor quality.
The most horrific crime of this century
In the past few years, China has emerged as a tourist centre for organ transplantation at the international level. It is surprising that the waiting period for organ transplantation in China is very low: only a week or two. In other countries, it takes years to find a matching organ. So how is this possible? It seems incredible, but for organ transplantation in China, the organs come not only from death row prisoners but also from a large number of innocent Falun Gong meditation followers and other prisoners of conscience.
Former Canadian Secretary of State David Kilgour and human rights lawyer David Matas have investigated the matter and revealed that the Chinese government, in collusion with government hospitals, is involved in the crime of illegal human organ trafficking. Thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been killed in this inhuman act.
Now is the time Indian people make a choice
China’s production activities are likely to remain subdued in the near future. Japan has earmarked $2.2 billion to help its manufacturers to shift production out of China. As per Economic Times report, about 200 U.S. companies are seeking to move manufacturing base from China to India. This is an opportunity for India to present itself as a viable alternative to China as manufacturing hub and to give a fitting reply to China.
Now is the time for Indian people not to buy Chinese phones, electronic items and other goods; to urge Bollywood celebrities not to promote Chinese products; to urge the government not to buy Chinese telecom equipment; and not to allow Huawei for 5G trials, risking privacy and health. Now is the time for India to believe in its capabilities. Now is the time to say no to Chinese products.
