1. BANNERGHATTA NATIONAL PARK
A great place to visit in Bangalore with kids in tow is the Bannerghatta National Park. The well- maintained zoo and park attract travellers from around the country. The place offers interesting activities such as wildlife safari and the journey offers exciting sightings of animals that freely roam around. Catch your kid’s excitement as they sight tigers, peacocks, bears and lions on the journey. Finish the safari and take a nice walk in the zoo as you observe the vast variety of animals here, with separate sections for reptiles and birds as well. 2. BAL BHAVAN
Located within Cubbon Park, Bal Bhavan is a great place to spend some time in the outdoors with your kids. The well-planned amusement options here include the toy train ride, doll museum, park and even art and craft workshops. Children will love running around and trying different games. The 12 acres of play space is sure to easily allow you to spend a few hours in play.
3. GOVERNMENT MUSEUM
Best suited for older children, the Government Museum in Bangalore is among the oldest in the country. It has a vast collection of interesting artifacts such as coins, paintings, vessels, jewelry, weapons, etc. It is sure to open the doors of knowledge to your children and with your guidance can learn much from the few hours spent here.
4. JAWAHARLAL NEHRU PLANETARIUM
The planetarium in Bengaluru provides one of those experiences that young children will remember for years to come. The experience of watching the night sky and learning about the solar system, the charming show of ‘The Sky Theater’ is a must-see for kids. Besides, the various other exhibits also provide interesting lessons. The planetarium is closed on Mondays and second Tuesdays of the month and entry fee is nominal.
5. SNOW CITY
This is the only place in Bengaluru where is snows, literally! An amusement park with the snow theme, it offers a variety of fun and exciting activities. Snow sliding, snowball competitions, climbing a snow mountain are some of the activities to do at Snow City. Maintained at temperature of -5 to -10 degrees the place sure is a welcome break. They also provide protective gear to help you stay comfortable as you enjoy the snow. Open across the week, the rates are upwards of Rs.400 per person for a session of 45 minutes. The kids are sure to enjoy this visit.
