There are few other places in the same street who also serve these dosas, but Ramu’s has the best taste. The very first shop on the right hand side of the food street is Shivanna Gulkan. Gulkhan, the delicacy made out of sweet rose petals are served with different combinations here. The very plain butter-gulkhan without bun is the most popular one. But what you have to look out for is their gulkhan ice-cream. Placed on a tiny piece of plantain leaf, a base of gulkhan has several types of fruits like banana, apple, kiwi, fig and others topped with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and honey. V B BAKERY
The oldest and last shop on the lane is V B Bakery. Congress bun and honey cake being their most sought after delicacies, they do have a spread of more than 50 delicacies to satiate your taste buds. Special mention to the cashew cake that is available only during Christmas is something people wait for. And their salt biscuits are something people from different parts of the city come for.
DEV SAGAR
This place is a must for someone who craves for spicy food. The tava pulav, Da Beli from here are something that people eat for snack and dinner both. Known to be maintaining their taste for very long time, you can mostly see young crowd all around.
VASAVI CONDIMENTS
Very famous for their Avare Mela that happens once in a year, this place serves different delicacies made of avarekayi or flat beans for a good 3 months in winter. Even otherwise, different varieties of lip smacking snacks and deep fried dishes are the USP here.
