Minister Dr.Sudhakar distributes Scholarship worth Rs.8.47 lakh to 149 SC/ST students
Chikkaballapura – July 11 2020: Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar inaugurated the India’s first Biosafety Level-2 dedicated covid and virology lab in Chikkaballapur on Saturday.
The district in-charge minister who visited Chikkaballapur on an official tour inaugurared the sophisticated lab at the district hospital. The state-of-the-art lab is tempreature controlled and complete clean air lab with fully automated machine for autolysis with RNA extraction. The Bio Safety Level-2 lab has facility for contamination free passage if samples through UV pass boxes without room to room human movement.The disposal of bio-medical waste is also carried out through a contamination-free ISO-8 classification process.
Dr.Sudhakar participated in the program organised by District Mineral Foundation Trust and distributred battery operated e-rickshakws to 12 unemployed youth under the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Ksetra Kalyan Yojana. The battery operated rickshaw which costs Rs.1.55 lakh will have a range of 75 kms if charged for 3-8 hours. This initiative taken up at a total cost of Rs.18.63 lakhs will help the beneficiaries to be self-employed.
The newly constructed parks in Municipal Layout and IDSMT layout were inaugurated by Minister. Dr.Sudhakar also handed over the land titles of free plots distributed to 29 pourakarmikas near Kandavara. Scholarship worth Rs.8.47 lakh was distributed to 149 SC/ST students studying SSLC, PUC and other profesional courses under SFC and Municipal Fund.
Various elected representatives and officials were present during the minister’s official tour to the disctrict.
