Bangalore: Medical education minister Dr K Sudhakar visited the CV Raman General Hospital and adviced the doctors & nurses to fight against the covid-19 with humanity.
During his surprise visit to the CV Raman Hospital in Indiranagar today the Minister inspected the facilities available for treatment of covid patients. Minister took stock of the preparedness and warned them to rectify flaws.

Despite having 15 High flow oxygen beds vacant only 2 patients were provided those beds. Dr.Sudhakar warned the hospital management to strictly follow guidelines and send asymptomaric and mildly symptomatic patients to covid care centres so that beds are available to those who need it.
Dr Sudhakar noticed that hospital lab collected less number of swabs and instructed them to collect a minimum of 500 swabs per day. Pointing to the under utilises beds and ICUs the Minister said that because of such negligence amd lethargy by officials, the government is being blamed despite working day and night for the last 4-5 months.

Doctors’ profession is a noble one and in a situation like this everyone should perform their duty with utmost humanity & compassion. During this crisis we all should our behaviour of kindness and empathy. For not following the guidelines and not giving the right treatment for patients , Minister strictly instructed the Chief Secretary for the suspension of two officials.
Even after the Anesthesia department having 6 technicians , there was no ventilator facility. Minister questioned why weren’t the technicians sent to other hospitals that require staff. Dr Sudhakar interacted with the patients through video call and enquired about the services provided in the hospital. Medical president Radhakrishna and other officials were also present.

Speaking to the media , Minister said his surprise visit to hospitals will continue. Will be in touch with every lab and get the right number of tests done on a daily basis answered the minister to a reporters question. As the plasma treatment is a successful therapy, Minister urged covid recovered citizens to come forward and donate their plasma to save other lives. Blood donors will receive a reward of Rs.5000 as a token of apprefiation, said Dr K Sudhakar.
