Chikkaballapura celebrates 74th Independence day: District in-charge Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar hoists tricolour, receives guard of honour

Chikkaballapura, August 15, Saturday: Medical Education Minister and district in-charge Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar initiated the 74th Independence day celebrations at district stadium here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion the Minister said that it is an honour to unfurl our tricolour on this occasion. He also received the guard of honour from the district police contingent.
Delivering the independence- day address Minister said that the district lacks industrial infrastructure. Efforts will be made in the coming days to establish industries at all taluks. This will boost employment opportunity for the local youth and also supports to realise Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. He also said that Yettinahole project will be completed in 3 years. Corona warriors were felicitated during the occasion. MP Bachhe Gowda, MLC Y.A.Narayanaswamy, Zilla Panchayat president Chikkanarasimahaiah, DC, SP and other officials were present during the celebrations.
The Minister later took part in various events in the district. He visited Kandavara lake which is filled with H.N.Valley water and inaugurated two floating fountains which will further beautify and make this lake more attractive. Later Dr.Sudhakar inaugurated various infrastructure facilities at the government model high school in Chigatenahalli in Muddenahalli village panchayat limits. He initiated sewerage and concrete road construction work at Nashikunte Hosuru village, inaugurated the renovated and upgraded anganawadi centre at Reddygollavarahalli village and inaugurated solid waste treatment plant at Avulanagenahalli.

• Vidurashwaththa in Gowribidanur is known as second Jalianvala Bagh where 9 freedom fighters were martyred here in 1938.
• Independence day is an occasion to self-introspect about the progress made in last 7 decades to develop the nation and chalk out our future course of action.
• Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Shri Yediyurappa, we are able to keep the mortality rate due to Covid at 1.7% in the state.
• Government is considering a proposal to establish food processing centers here as the district produce grapes in more than 5 thousand hectares.
• H.N.Valley water has been flown to many lakes in the district.
• District has achieved a excellent results in SSLC exams. We should maintain this track record.
• We have a target of providing shelter to 5000 people in next two years.
